Therapeutic Medical Physicist - Farmington, New Mexico

CAMP is seeking a site physicist to lead physics coverage at its location in Farmington, NM, San Juan Regional Medical Center. San Juan boasts a beautiful Cancer Center and has introduced a brand new Varian Edge to its full Varian platform and begun a stereo program within the past year. We are seeking a physicist who can work within the structure we have in place internally as a part of a physics team while also functioning independently on site as the responsible physicist for site-specific coverage needs. This position has some flexibility and could have 1-2 days covered remotely while 3-4 days are covered on-site.

Located near Four Corners in the heart of the San Juan Basin, Farmington provides ample opportunity for outdoor enthusiasts and active families. Beautiful, natural landscapes are found throughout the region and there is opportunity for skiing, hiking, mountain biking, fly-fishing, rock climbing, and other outdoor adventures at your fingertips! In addition, the region is rich with fascinating monuments and historical sites to explore. Within Farmington you will be welcomed with southwestern hospitality as you explore the Animas River walk & trail system, Native American culture and art, galleries and shops along Main Street, and enjoy local cuisine. Required Qualifications: 

  • ABR or equivalent certification or eligibility for certification within a year of hire
  • Strong clinical experience
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Ability to function independently while working as part of a team
  • Ability to successfully navigate remote communication, including use of Microsoft Office platform (Teams, Outlook, etc.)

CAMP offers a salary based on training and experience with consideration of data from the AAPM Salary Survey ($160,000 - $230,000). Medical Dosimetrist (hybrid) - Denver, Colorado

CAMP is seeking a medical dosimetrist to round out our growing dosimetry program. The successful candidate will primarily support one center in a hybrid role (~25% on site) with the possibility to flex to other centers for PTO coverage. Coverage will primarily be in a Varian environment with Eclipse and Aria.

The mountain west offers great living appeal for outdoor enthusiasts, with a variety of recreation available including skiing, snowboarding, rock climbing, hiking, mountain biking, and more. The Mile High City is home to the Broncos, Avalanche, Rockies, and NBA champion Nuggets. Red Rocks Amphitheatre is a beautiful location to hear your favorite musicians with natural acoustics, and there are many additional event venues in the city.

Required Qualifications: 

  • AAMD certification or eligibility for certification within a year of hire
  • Strong clinical experience
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Ability to function independently while working as part of a team
  • Ability to successfully navigate remote communication, including use of Microsoft Office platform (Teams, Outlook, etc.)

CAMP offers a salary based on qualifications such as certification, training, and experience with consideration of data from the AAMD Salary Survey in addition to a competitive benefits package (see above). Hourly pay ranges from $54-$78, depending on experience and qualifications. Relocation expenses are covered up to $6,000.

Eclipse, Aria, SBRT planning, and/or TBI planning experience are beneficial to this position, but can also be trained as indicated.
