Entry-level Therapeutic Medical Physicist - Pueblo, CO

CAMP is currently seeking a clinically focused medical physicist to support a newly opened and quickly growing comprehensive cancer center in Pueblo, Colorado. The successful applicant will primarily support a senior CAMP physicist at a beautiful new cancer center in a full Varian environment (Edge, Bravos, Aria, Eclipse, Identify) with a second vault primed and waiting for a new treatment machine under the overall guidance and direction of our Chief of Therapy Physics. We are seeking a physicist who can work within the structure we have in place internally as a part of a physics team while also functioning independently on site as a responsible physicist for site-specific coverage needs.

Pueblo is located 112 miles south of Denver along the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. Pueblo boasts a warm climate for Colorado with minimal snowfall while maintaining easy mountain access for all types of outdoor recreation (skiing, snowboarding, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, etc). Pueblo is situated on the Arkansas River boasting a beautiful downtown Riverwalk with numerous dining and shopping establishments. The Pueblo Reservoir is a popular summer spot for boating recreation and year-round mountain biking and Pueblo hosts the Colorado State Fair and Chile Festival annually.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Board eligible or certified in therapeutic medical physics
  • Minimum 2 years clinical experience (residency experience qualifies)
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Ability to function independently while working as part of a physics team
  • QMP eligible on an HDR license

Diagnostic Medical Physicist - North Denver/ Ft. Collins, CO

CAMP is currently seeking a clinically focused physicist based in Ft. Collins or on the north side of Denver, Colorado who will perform clinical medical physics tasks in collaboration with a team of imaging, nuclear medicine, and health physicists under the overall direction of our Chief of Imaging Physics. Responsibilities include equipment performance evaluations for all diagnostic imaging and nuclear medicine modalities, Y-90 therapy support, RSO coverage and other medical physics 3.0 tasks depending on experience. Board eligibility is required for this position and board certification is preferred. Approximately 10-15% overnight travel will be required with travel expenses reimbursed.
