AAPM Elects Jennifer Stickel, PhD, Fellow of the Association
ALEXANDRIA, VA (July 29, 2025) — The American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) proudly announces the election of Dr. Jennifer Stickel as a Fellow of the Association. This honor recognizes exceptional contributions to the field of medical physics through research, education, or leadership.
Dr. Stickel received this prestigious distinction during the 67th AAPM Annual Meeting and Exhibition, held on July 28, 2025, in Washington, DC.
Dr. Jennifer R. Stickel is the Vice President for Diagnostic and Nuclear Medicine Services at Colorado Associates in Medical Physics. She earned her PhD in biomedical engineering at University of California – Davis. Dr Stickel has focused on support of community based hospitals in the Rocky Mountain region for both diagnostic and nuclear medicine. She has served as the AAPM liaison to the IAC Nuclear Medicine and PET board of directors since 2012 and is currently the ABR Nuclear Medicine Trustee. Dr Stickel was a member of TG-356 / MPPG 14 on Y-90 Microsphere Radioembolization. Dr. Stickel works to implement the Medical Physics 3.0 paradigm in a private practice setting. She enjoys traveling particularly to locations that offer scuba diving.
