Justin Macal has been with Colorado Associates in Medical Physics (CAMP) since October 2023.
Justin brought to CAMP a robust 8 years of experience in Radiation Oncology. Graduating from the University of Iowa in 2015, Justin achieved certifications in both Radiology and Therapy, underlining his diverse expertise. Pursuing advanced education, he received a Master’s in Medical Dosimetry in 2023, fortifying his foundation in the field.
In terms of technical prowess, Justin showcases proficiency in 3D, IMRT, VMAT, and SBRT treatment planning. His skills also encompass a deep familiarity with Oncentra brachytherapy planning from Elekta. Adept in utilizing various platforms, he is proficient with Varian Eclipse and Pinnacle treatment planning systems, coupled with a command over Aria & Mosaiq record and verify systems. Moreover, his expertise extends to MiM and Radformation products, showcasing his comprehensive knowledge in the domain.
Professionally, Justin is an active member of both the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) and the American Association of Medical Dosimetrists (AAMD), reflecting his commitment to the field and continuous learning.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Justin finds solace in the scenic landscapes of Denver, Colorado, where he resides. An enthusiast for outdoor activities, he frequently indulges in hiking and snowboarding, while also finding passion in golf and maintaining a dedicated fitness regimen.
