Sophia Taylor joined Colorado Associates in Medical Physics in 2024 and serves as a Health Physicist. She comes from a university/hospital broad scope license background with over 3 years of experience as a radiation safety specialist. As a health physicist, Sophia has specialties in various radioactive materials therapies, instrument calibration, radiation dosimetry, radioactive materials license evaluation and assessment, and radiation safety training.
Sophia earned her Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering degree with a minor in Radiological Health Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2020 and her Master of Science in Medical Health Physics degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2022. She is a member of the national Health Physics society and is aiming to become a certified health physicist.
Sophia and her husband, Joshua, are both Texans born and raised, but are thrilled to be living in Colorado to finally experience the four seasons. Sophia enjoys many fitness activities including long-distance running, weight lifting, tennis, and hiking as well as cozy indoor activities such as reading and crocheting. Sophia and Josh are both excited to experience Colorado’s many hiking routes and breweries.
